general submissions (which include sex + ) are closed until further notice.
issue one:
submissions open from June 1st - 30th
issue 1’s theme is magic which therefore means any/all submissions must relate back to that theme. we’re wanting all things witchy related & for this issue to be radiating with so much energy. some examples for what we want is poems formatted like spells, visual art that oozes witchy vibes, flash fiction about queer witches, listicles about crystals that represent femininity, a personal essay about your journey as a witch & so on.
we encourage you to get creative with the work you’re sending in. rose quartz wants to be wowed & would love to see weird pieces of any kind!
guidelines are the same as the general submissions but we’ll be picking only the best/the pieces that speak to us the most.. please make sure to send polished pieces (writing wise) , visual art that fits the theme in some capacity & INCLUDE THIRD PERSON BIOS. we’ll automatically reject any work that doesn’t follow our guidelines.
when sending the pieces please include in the words “issue 1” in the subject line.
WHAT DOES ROSE QUARTZ WANT?
work about love, sex, tenderness, femininity, womanhood, healing, queerness , magic & all that pertains to it. rose quartz encourages folks to play around with these topics.
WHAT TYPE OF WORK DO YOU ACCEPT?
. poetry - written or visual
. CNF - personal essays, think pieces, listicles, reviews ( novel, chapbooks, song , movie or TV shows etc. )
. flash fiction
. visual art - paintings, drawings, digital art, collages, photography & mixed media
we definitely want experimental work but for poems if you have a special formatting then please send a screenshot we an publish.

we much prefer work that doesn’t rhyme but we’ll make exceptions in some cases

- any novel/chapbook or song that's reviewed must be by queer women / womxn
- movie or show & or episode reviews must have a queer women/womxn within it. so for example an episode review for "Killing Eve" works!
- pieces can be up to 5,000 words
- send pieces in Word documents ( docx only)
